Jimmy had been alcohol-dependent for 29 years prior to coming to Red Kite Learning. He says that ‘Red Kite Learning has helped me keep a clear head and not think about drink.’
Six months ago Jimmy enrolled on the CLAIT course with Red Kite Learning to improve his confidence and computing skills. Before Jimmy came to us he ‘could not even turn on a computer’ but now he is 'coming on in leaps and bounds.' He says, 'I can now send emails and know how to use the internet … I can make and print graphs, open new folders and put attachments onto emails.'
Jimmy has also trained for and gained his CSCS Health and Safety Certificate at Red Kite Learning. 'Thanks to Red Kite Learning I have grown in confidence and am really enjoying the courses I am doing.'
Although Jimmy has experience in driving machinery and in horticulture, he now wants to work towards a career as a substance misuse counsellor.
