After his conviction Salat tried to get another job, but his efforts were not met with success.Salat says, “I was ready to give up on myself. When you’ve applied for so many jobs and nothing works, you want to give up.”

Salat’s Probation Officer then referred him to a Red Kite Learning advisor. Salat had been particularly worried that his convictions could be a barrier to ever gaining employment again, but his concerns regarding disclosure were addressed, and his CV was reviewed and improved.

With Salat’s new-found confidence and motivation, and with his advisor’s assistance and guidance, he started applying for jobs again. He was then selected not just for one but two interviews. He performed so well in the interviews that he suddenly found himself in the enviable position of being offered a choice of two great jobs! He has now started work as a delivery driver for a well-known supermarket chain.

Salat has some advice for others considering working with a Red Kite Learning advisor, “It is definitely not a waste of time…it’s useful and helpful…stick with the program and go all the way.”
