| About CVs |
| |
A well-produced CV (curriculum vitae) is an essential tool for job-hunting.
A good CV has impact, and is both factual and brief. It must paint an attractive
and accurate portrait of your abilities, achievements and interests.
|
 |
| |
Your CV:
- is your personal marketing document
- should highlight your achievements
- must be persuasive enough to get you selected for interview
|
| |
You must:
- keep it simple
- make it concise
|
| Levels |
| |
Information and guidance are offered at three levels:
Entry for those who have little or no work experience (such as college/school leavers) who are taking their first step on the career ladder
Career those who have some work history and are now ready to advance in their career
Executive for those who are working at middle or senior management level, and who may not have had the need to compile a CV for some time.
|
| |
Note that the levels are not rigidly defined and you
may find that you fall between two.
In that case you can
take suggestions from both levels.
You should not,
however, mix the different types of CV.
