Red Kite Learning was commissioned by the Essential Skills Support Unit in Hampshire to create four online Skills for Life courses with a vocational focus. Topics include ESOL for WORK and Preparing for an NVQ qualification.
The aim of the project was to increase access and for work-based learners. The courses can therefore be delivered in a work-based learning setting, and also be used independently by the learners outside the classroom if they need to catch up with the class or want to repeat exercises.
Course materials supplied by ESSU were re-structured and adapted for online use. Red Kite Learning also created a range of additional assets and activities, including video presentations and quizzes.
Two modules of the new Preparation for Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) diploma are also included in the Moodle.
For these courses we have created a series of videos that are displayed in own video content player. You can see an example in a video on communication skills developed as part of a course on customer care.
