Malcolm Spalding


Principal of London Electronics College since 1984, Malcolm has 35 years experience in education, training and business in London. Past roles include Chairman and President of Kensington & Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, and vice-chairman of the Kensington & Chelsea strategic partnership.

 

Stuart Evans

Has worked in FE for over 30 years, including as Principal of Southwark College and CEO of Myrrh Education. He has  carried out a range of educational consultancy for national agencies and LEAs. He retired in 2007.

 

Len Curran

Len Curran is a psychologist and an epidemiologist. For many years he worked for the Prison Service where he was responsible for the development of policy on HIV/AIDS in prisons, for medical research and ethics. Since leaving the Prison Service he has worked for international agencies such as the UN and the International Red Cross as a consultant on infectious diseases in uniformed services. In this capacity he has worked in over 40 countries across the globe. He has been a Trustee of Red Kite Learning for 6 years.

 

Hassan Shami

Hassan is a Skills Adviser in the Economic Regeneration Team of the London Borough of Newham.  Part of his brief is to develop and implement effective strategies, in conjunction with partners and stakeholders, to raise the skills levels of Newham residents.  Prior to joining Newham, he was a Partnership Director at the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). He has also had experience in the Further Education (FE) sector as a Director of Student Services and Marketing. Hassan worked at Red Kite Learning (previously LWTS) in the early '90s, from where he went on to join the FE sector.

Bonnie Chouls

Bonnie is a Chartered Accountant working for Ernst & Young as an Executive in their Assurance department. In Bonnie’s previous post with WSM Partners LLP she gained a broad range of experience in Charity and Company Law, governance, management accounting, risk management and reporting requirements.

Company Secretary:
Jane Holmes


A qualified solicitor (currently non-practising) specialising in employment law, charity law and civil litigation, Jane has worked part-time with Red Kite Learning since 2004. She also works with an NHS Acute Trust as Board Secretary and with a variety of other companies as Company Secretary.
