BricksRed Kite Learning works with many different groups of people to help them improve their reading, writing, maths and English.

We know that people have many different reasons for wanting to improve their skills, it may be for personal reasons or to help improve their employment prospects or to enter further education and training. We therefore put the individual at the centre of our teaching.

As promoters of the government's Skills for Life strategy, we are committed to widening adults' participation in learning.

Our learners come from different groups which include job seekers, homeless individuals, ex-offenders, ethnic minority groups and speakers of other languages

Our programmes are informal, rewarding and supportive. All teaching is delivered by friendly, qualified staff in small groups, using up to date resources and materials. Learners can also access computer training.

Learners can benefit from one-to-one sessions with an advice and guidance worker as well as their tutor to plan their short and long-term goals.

Programmes run throughout the year, learners can join at any time and work at their own pace to achieve their goals. All our programmes lead to nationally recognised qualifications in literacy, numeracy and ESOL.

One of our successful programmes is aimed at those wishing to enter the construction industry but have difficulty in reading, writing, numeracy and language. With our support, beneficiaries are able to obtain the mandatory CSCS card.

We also develop e-learning resources to support Skills for Life tutors in the delivery of learning.

What our learners have to say

'The teacher gave me more help than I have ever had before'

'I came to Red Kite Learning to learn English, now I am going to college to study computers'

'The course was brilliant and I understood the questions and got my CSCS card'
